K : When Did You Started Skating And Where Did You Started Skating…?
MW : Probably around 1992 but that was only rolling Around….It was not untill 1995 when I can really call it skating since i started actually learning all those basic tricks.

MW : Well…i spent most of my time skating in Penampang in the early days…behind shop lots and as well as in some hall. Skating at Redsquare last time was only during demos…or when we’re (me and my friends…) in town…Eventhough last time the petrol was quite cheap…but our pocket’s are always empty…Even now, When the petrol is not cheap but my pocket are still empty as well…Huhuhu…
K : Do You Know How Red Square Was Established.?
MW : Probably around the early 90′s i guess….Back then i heard lots of legends as we would say….guys like Dennis, b-boy, kevin morris, (ehemm ehemm) Greg and John… just to name a few… and I remember people saying if for some serious street skating..thats just the place to be.
K : Yup…I do Agree…For Me,The Red Square Skater’s Are The Most Gnarliest And Techy Skater’s.So,What Was Your Foremost Crazy Tricks That You Did There…
MW : I only remember trying ollies and kickflips down the stairs…Hehehe…
K : You got to be kidding me mark…ndakkan trick tu jak kau buat di sana hari2…hehehe…So,How does it feel when you guys had to transition yourself from skating red square to skating skatepark and now nowhere else to skate…?
MW : Well first and foremost, skating is still skating to me…either in park or street…its just a matter of adapting to you environment…thats what skateboarding is all about…skate the crap out of what you have… but nontheless….the transition has been amazing…since i never thought i ever tried to drop into an 8 foot quarterpipe…
K : Damn…I wish i could try that…How was it feel skating at the skatepark?
MW : Skating at the park was hard to handle at first…Since every obstacle You approach for sure is at high speed…sometimes you need to figure out how to slow yourself down…

MW : Well it actually started by the guys, Awang,Matt,Ah Chun,Alvin,Nasa and other’s who are at the park Cause we needed a place to inform people about events…since sometimes flyers is just not enough.
K : So it’s like everyone’s idea lah…??How can u put it with b3′s role in sabah extreme scene.
MW : I hope it can be a place for other people to share info, as well as get to know each other…For example,like who to get in touch with when they are at a certain place…let it be sandakan…tawau…ranau….
Also the main goal is to notify if there’s any events or any sort of gathering ..let it be skateboarding…inlineskating….bmx…

MW : Its all about skating back to the basic obstacle…since nowdays people are already familiar with skating launchers,8 stairs gaps and some street skating stuff…among other things…so I’m pretty sure they be able to do some major tricks on just some bacis obstacles.

Well..I enjoyed my days in skateboarding a lot…no regrets… the only thing i regret is not pushing myself to much since i can see now that our goverment is supporting the sport by sending most of our athletes (skate,inline,bxm) for major competition outside of Malaysia…so hope the guys around Sabah willl have the chance as well to represent since I see lots of sick skating from outside of K.K …especially from L.D, Ranau, Sandakan, Keningau.

MW : Jo and Ah Chun both are still skating and hope to see them in Back2Basic….but both are busy in their work i guess…
